SURVIVAL FOR THE FITTEST!!

It is not the strongest of the species that survives, nor the most intelligent that survives. It is the one that is most adaptable to change.
In the struggle for survival, the fittest win out at the expense of their rivals because they succeed in adapting themselves best to their environment. -Charles Darwin-

So.. Adaptation vs Mitigation.
Here is a diagram created by myself..
It is completely subjective and based on my own observation.

What is mitigation?what is adaptation?how can we determine which one is more important?which one comes first?and why??

Mitigation means forecast a strategy for something that could be happen in the future.

Adaptation means adjust our strategy based on something that already or currently happen.

In terms of environment sustainability, both mitigation and adaptation need to go in an action plan side by side.

The first diagram shows that degree of climate change, global warming, and other relatives, are way ahead of our inventions, technologies, tools, and even actions. All of the actions that have been done were too premature, in terms of whether the action is in the right direction of not, whether the action taken will reduce or even stop the global warming phenomenon, or maybe it will make it even worse.

I'm not trying to be a pessimist, rather than I would like to encourage everyone to think more creative, I'm not an expert either in design or science or even economy, but I do believe that there are still area that we not yet explore, in terms of environment sustainability prevention of even prescription.

Back to the diagram, the second diagram is an idea that I develop. 30-50 years ago, global warming, environment issues were not a significant problem. Not for the government, private corporation sector or even individual. Simply because it wasn't happen at that time. So, every action plan was made based on predicting on what is going to happen--and that definitely mitigation.

The last diagram is my own idea about current situation. Obvious, every action, policy, or even concept, is an adaptation as well as mitigation. That's it.

Conclusion?let me put it in my own sentence, Mitigation plan for adaptation strategy.

It just my idea, very personal.. but please.. if anyone has counter idea, or maybe same idea, feel free to comment, critics, suggestion, any thing.. Idea that shared will not reduce the idea it self rather than will enhance it.
